PARAINEMA

The Parainema variety “was born” in the laboratories of the Honduran Coffee Institute (IHCAFÉ), line T-05296 (Sarchimore), with wide adaptability to climates and heights, resistant to rust, and resistant to wind. It has an exceptional root system that enables it to adapt to different types of soil. Winning variety of the cup of excellence in Honduras, awarded by the IHCAFE in 2015 in the Santa Bárbara mountain and in 2017, in the department of Paraíso, Danlí, in the El Laurel farm.

 

This variety has the following characteristics:

  • Plant size: low / compact.
  • Grain size: large.
  • Quality potential in cup: good.
  • Coffee rust: resistant.
  • Harvest yield: good.
  • Years for the first harvest: 3 years.
